I'm considering an RMA for the 6900XT if I can't find a known solution.Įven if your monitoring only reports as 500W or near it, cards like the 6900XT can momentarily spike and consume a lot of power, which could end up in the PSU causing your issue. I hope this is clear enough to follow, and I'm curious if any of you might have had a similar issue, even with a lesser card and if you were able to fix it. The only thing I did as I saw the temps in the same range was to undervolt and set a slightly more aggressive fan curve, where at default they run about 1600 RPM, now they run at about 2100 RPM. Today I finally broke down and opened and installed the 6800XT and it's solid so far, even though time spend using it is limited. I've also monitored my UPS and power consumption in rarely over 500 Watts usually it hovers at about 450-475 while gaming. When gaming 6900XT temps are aprox GPU=80c and the Junction would range from 100-105 when gaming. I see in the event log Event ID 1000 with reverences faulting applications Radeonsoftware.exe and faulting module path pointing to Qt5Core.dll (both files are in the same path fwiw) I've verified that these files are removed after Clean uninstall and DDU and are re-installed with the drivers. The issue with the system is even after using DDU and the AMD clean install option the application seems to crash, I also have micro stuttering to brief pausing, and the occasional reboot when gaming. Powered by EVGA 750 Watt Supernova G+ PSUĪlso, I found no need to overclock this system as it's performance isn't lacking at all for my use.Bios F33h, F33i has stability issues where my system random reboots with or without a load. Aorus x570 Ultra Rev1, Only PBO and XMP defined in bios, no changes to IF.On to the issue, fist a breakdown of my current system. Simply put I was having issues checking out with the 6800XT and in fear of loosing out I grabbed a 6900XT and didn't feel like messing with the cart. So I was lucky enough to snag not only a 6800XT, but a 6900XT a few weeks ago from AMD. I'll be re installing the 6900XT after work as it seems to show issues quicker.Adjusted memory manually instead of using XMP per feedback here and something I read outside of this post were another user had issues with XMP and setting timings and voltage manually fixed it.wound up having the same issue with the 6800XT.So far as I can tell it's not power related, many hours of gaming and no crashes or otherwise unexpected behavior over the last 48 hours and drivers are not crashing like before, likely a memory related issue. on F32 I'm running XMP without issue and no manual voltage adjustments. It appears that the USB power saving is the likely culprit for the USB plug/unplug sounds, and the instability was likely due to issues with memory settings on the F33i bios. Please visit /r/AyyMD, or it's Intel counterpart - /r/Intelmao - for memes. It appears to be solved for both cards, I rolled back to F32 bios from F33i, disabled usb power saving in the Windows power plan and set the PCIe slot to gen 3.
